I remember that several years ago there was a house party. Well a little bit more accurately it was a “shopping” trip. Four of usvy Italian food lovers, my sister, brother-in-law, best friend (if I can call him that) and I showed up to check out a few items and have a little shopping around. One thing that caught my attention was the number of people who were paying for their meals. It was a odd sight to see so many families getting their meals together and having a fine meal at the same time.
Anyway, being the traditionalist that I am, I decided to make some research and decided that a good way to group people together was to do a themed menu. I worked for a month or so on the germ theory and came up with the following:
The Lady & Sons’ Table:
This is a pretty harsh task, as they’re Lady & Sons and it’s a family dinner, so I didn’t have any soft-serve ice cream. Lady & Sons’ has a full breakfast; I’m thinking about having a full breakfast here.
Per SeEmere’s Table:
This is another softserve shop that competent, but not as upscale as L&S. They have a lunch menu that’s pretty reasonable, and their dessert menu is spectacular. This is a family establishment, so expect someWonderful BBQ.
Stewarts & Soda
This is an unusual chain of restaurants in New York. Stewarts focus on upscale American fare, and their specialty is a grilled cheese sandwich. This name is a mash-up of the two companies’ names, as both Stewarts and Soda share a similarity inulfur dioxidecontained caramel coloring(I think).
Well, that’s about all that I know. If anyone else has any interesting links to other restaurants, or places to eat, I’d be interested in hearing about it.
Here’s a comment from someone who worked at three different Starbucks. Apparently the company consults its customers on various matters of taste, and also offers various cooking classes.
“It (Starbucks) offers classes for the whole family. There are packages for 10-12; there are classes for the little ones, the big kids, dad, mom, 2-year-olds, and teenage girls (but they are extremely discreet about this stuff).”
“They have a huge infomercial though, and they have a few different versions of it. When you see the video, especially the first one, where they explain the science of carbonated sodas and the health benefits, then I think you’ll be seriously surprised.”
Top US Coffee Shops
Although the blue chocolates and literarily expensive coffees may not be close to Starbucks quality, they are as good as any. And they serve a unique coffee.
You will find a very diverse range of affordable coffee shops throughout the USA. From Omaha Steaks to Morningstar Farms are some of the top quality coffee shops in the country. And these shops have some even more unique offerings.
Though I have to pay more to get my coffee beans, the employees are always very friendly and well-trained. I have yet to meet anyone who works for a supermarket who doesn’t like the product they offer.
