Normal water has Ionized Phosphate content. This is the reason that it is called “alkaline” water. Alkaline water occurs naturally in natural bodies of water. Although, in our H2O it is neutral in taste, pH is still slightly alkaline.
On the other hand, “carbonate” content is obtained from plant materials or man made materials. This is what is considered the purest form of H2O. It is completely without minerals.
You may know that there are two types of water treatment systems – distillation and reverse osmosis. Distillation involves boiling water and then collecting the condensed steam into a clean container. The pure water is separated from the solid contaminants which are left behind. Reverse osmosis simply removesurities from the water by means of a membrane.
Distillers are expensive, but they work quite well. Distillation is the most common method of pure water harvesting. Interestingly, there is another water treatment system that is not seen very often. It is the reverse osmosis filter.Reverse osmosis filter works by forcing water through a semi-permeable membrane.
