Recently I’ve been doing a lot of work in infused oils and my favorite method of extracting oil from fruits and olives is through the use of a cold press. I’ve been doing it for a while now and I finally feel I have something worthwhile to share.
The process works as follows; you take the liquid that comes out of your smoothie maker or juice extractor and you ultra-pasteurize it using pure coconut oil, a process that is often referred to as “liming”. Then you run the process through what is called the “extracting process” which essentially removes the water from the ingredients so we’re left with pure coconut oil and the body of many many nutrients including protein, water, fat, and sugar, viscosity, mineral content and antioxidants.
The nuts of the coconut have much more than mere calories and the oil of the superfood is truly a health food. Indeed, the coconut fats and oils have many beneficial aspects especially to our brain power and to our cardiovascular system. They’ve been called the new superfood because of the vitamins and minerals it provides. This is in complete contrast to the oils we use such as sunflower and corn, which have been shown to raise cholesterol and create inflammation white blood cells that can contribute to a cold.
A study that was released to the American physician online by the National Cancer Institute in Italy showed that consumption of coconut oil can lower the cholesterol levels by as much as 34 percent. In addition, the fat contains 18 of all 22 fatty acids known as the essential fatty acids which are a series of Omega-6 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids are an even more important type of fatty acid as they are needed in more than half of our brain functions and as such they play a direct role in memory and thinking abilities.
There are many other amazing health benefits to coconut oil, and I will go into them in more detail as I continue to review books and information about this amazing superfood. Indeed, you can use this amazing oil to maintain your health, and significantly reduce the risk of heart disease, cancer, and arthritic pain. Indeed, by adding 2-3 tablespoons to your daily diet, you can lower your risk of suffering from at least 5 different diseases. Indeed, the health benefits of coconut oil are so strong that they surpass those of superfoods like buffalo oil and this is why many people have openly called it the “new butter” and many more.
The most exciting thing about coconut oil isn’t the taste or the health benefits, it’s the incredible content of medium-chain fatty acids (MCFA) and the high amount of molecular oxygen in the medium chain. These MCFA have a chain shape of camel, human, and shark teeth. The actual content of the oil is in the form of over 400 chemical compounds, and the brand of reputable oil producersuba, and has been studied by the United States governmental agencies and studied by the scientific community to ensure its authenticity and safety.
With the increased popularity of coconut oil, there has been significant progress in using it in several studies. Science has found that certain (not necessarily tested on humans) by-products of the oil are believed to be very powerful antioxidants. There are also studies done using laboratory mice that were fed with either coconut oil or a control oil and then withconsequently injected with a herpes virus. The group of mice that had been fed with coconut oil then became transgenic, meaning their mice hosts became cancerous. However, this study was not designed to prove that the substance causes human illnesses or is even safe for human consumption. Rather, it was a scientific finding meant to show that both substances cut down on viral loads in lab mice which are otherwise healthy.
So, what is the proper diet for a cholesterol free and heart-healthy alternative? One certainly has to exercise and watch their weight but there is also a need to consume a diet that is free from chemicals and antibiotics, among other things. Among natural cholesterol-free alternative, rancidity is seen as a possible factor. Indeed, some producers have already stopped usingatin a centrifuges to extract the oils from the bones, paddles, and other production surfaces. But most coconut oils already undergo a manufacturing process that includes at least some presence ofThis is probably why there has yet been no widely reported report in the scientific literature proving that rancidityhas any negative effects on human health. However, more scientific study may be needed to firmly settle this point.
Another very important question that now comes to mind is whether or not you should buy organic coconut oil. Organic is currently the warmed market, the higher end of the food label level. Organic is often said to be the only way to be sure of what you are eating.
