The first thing you should do is to check your popcorn container. Most of the containers are made from plastic, and they are suspect. They are not going to be air tight, and they have a tendency to affect the taste of the popcorn, as well as shift the colors, and create a chemical taste. The only real winner with this is health food. But, I digress.

Proper air pressure is very important when it comes to popping corn. Also important is to heat your popcorn quickly, and for it to be popped evenly and small pieces. You should always make sure that the popcorn is not overcooked, because it will not taste as good, and the process will need more time.
